Hello, and thanks for checking out “Ask Gollum”
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Tyler Michael Jonsson. I am an actor living in Los Angeles currently getting my Theatre degree as well as auditioning for stage and film work.
I am an enormous fan of the Lord of the Rings books and films. In particular, the character of Gollum. I also play the (awesome!) online game “Lord of the Rings Online”. If you play and want to chat, come say hi to Dromur on the Meneldor server!
After seeing the Lord of the Rings films, I was absolutely stunned by the performance given by Andy Serkis as Gollum, and since I’ve had quite a bit of vocal training (as well as a natural knack at impressions) I decided to give it a shot…
What followed is years of stunning (and usually frightening) friends, family, Hollywood casting agents as well as complete strangers. Believe it or not, I’ve even had people completely convinced that I actually played Gollum in the films, despite my telling them that it is just an impression.
I decided to take my love for acting and Gollum and combine them into something that I could share with other fans on the internet. Thus “Ask Gollum” was born!
