About the Podcast
Hello, and thanks for checking out “Ask Gollum”
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Tyler Michael Jonsson. I am an actor living in Los Angeles currently getting my Theatre degree and auditioning for anything that presents itself.
I am an enormous fan of the Lord of the Rings books and movies. In particular, the character of Gollum.
After seeing the LotR movies, I was absolutely stunned by the performance given by Andy Serkis as Gollum, and since I had quite a bit of vocal training (and a natural knack at impressions) I decided to work on an impersonation…
What followed is several years of stunning (and usually frightening) friends, family, and complete strangers.
I have even had people completely convinced that I actually played Gollum in the films, despite my telling them that it is just an impression.
I decided to take my love for acting and Gollum and combine them into something that I could share with other fans on the internet. Thus “Ask Gollum” was born!
